BroSpeech is a private, on-device dictation app for iPhone. Tap, talk, and it turns your speech into text right on your phone. It works fully offline, needs no account, and never sends your voice or your words anywhere.

How to use it

  1. Open BroSpeech on your iPhone.
  2. Tap to record, then just talk. The app transcribes your speech to text on the device as you go.
  3. When you are done, copy the text or share it wherever you need it.
  4. For hands-free use, map the "Start / Stop Voice Transcription" Shortcut to your Action Button, so a single press starts and stops a recording.

Frequently asked questions

Is it really offline?

Yes. The speech model is bundled inside the app and runs on your phone, so transcription happens entirely on the device.

Does it need an account?

No. There is no sign-in and no account to create. Open the app and start dictating.

Where do my transcripts go?

Only on your phone, in the app's private storage. They are not uploaded, and they are excluded from your iCloud backup.

How do I delete them?

Use Delete All in the app's history to clear them whenever you want. By default, transcripts also auto-delete after 90 days. You can turn that off in the app.

Does it work without internet?

Yes, always. BroSpeech does not need a connection to transcribe your speech.
